Sault Sports Medicine is a sports injury clinic serving Sault Ste. Marie and the Algoma District. Our clinic offers immediate care and recovery for athletes, recreational sports participants or any person suffering from a sports injury or bone and joint problem.
John is a registered Physiotherapist and American Physical Therapy Board Licensee with over 30 years of experience. He began his education in 1978, studing Kinesiology and received his Honours Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy in 1983. In 2009 John achieved the designation of Credentialed Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy, from the McKenzie Institute International.
John has been in private practice since 1986. Throughout his career John has successfully treated recreational, elite and professional area athletes. He has worked internationally both in the United States and Rwanda. John is an avid athlete enjoying alpine and nordic skiing, cycling, tennis, golf and running.
Dr. Terry McAllister
Terry is an Orthopaedic Surgeon and Sports Medicine Specialist with over 25 years of experience. In 1987 Terry graduated from Medical School at the University of Western Ontario. He finished his Orthopaedic training in 1992 and Fellowship in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine 1994.
Since 1994, Terry has worked as an Orthopaedic Surgeon in both Northern Ontario and Michigan communities, providing expert diagnosis and care to athletes of all levels. He continues to work as an Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Sault Area Hospital. Terry demonstrates a commitment to education and excellence working as an Associate Professor of Surgery for the Northern Ontario School of Medicine.
Laura is an experienced Office Administrator specializing in excellent customer service. She is the first line of communication for the Sault Sports Medicine Clinic as well as the Algoma Physical Rehabilitation Clinic. She manages and books all appointments and ensures that you have all of the right information before your scheduled appointment
